PrenatalSafe Karyo Plus test

The PrenatalSafe Karyo Plus test is a safe and accurate screening test for chromosomal and genetic diseases based on a non-invasive prenatal examination of fetal extracellular DNA in the mother's blood, which can also be used in the case of twin pregnancies and also when conception has occurred through in vitro fertilization or the use of donor eggs. The PrenatalSafe Karyo Plus test allows the detection of Down, Edwards and Patau syndromes as well as other numerical and structural chromosomal pathologies that cannot be evaluated with the Panorama test. Test also allows the detection of 9 clinically significant microdeletions and pathologies of the sex chromosomes, which all significantly affect the health of the child, from the mother's venous blood.

The answer to the test can be obtained 10 business days after the blood test.

With the test, it is also possible to find out the sex of the fetus if you wish.

• In rhesus-negative women whose child's father is rhesus-positive, the determination of the rhesus status of the fetus can be requested as an additional service.

If the test result is low risk, the report will be sent to you at no charge, encrypted via our secure cloud service. If the test result indicates an abnormality or requires further explanation, we offer a video consultation with a gynaecologist (a paid service).
