EasyPOC + StandardPOC – combined genetic testing
Combining the two tests helps investigate a possible chromosomal cause of pregnancy loss using both maternal blood and pregnancy tissue.
.
The EasyPOC blood sample is collected at 7 weeks of pregnancy, before collecting pregnancy tissue. For StandardPOC, fetal and placental tissue is collected afterward. The patient receives a sample collection kit and instructions for collecting the tissue and bringing it to the center.
Using both tests increases the chance of obtaining an informative genetic result: if one sample does not yield a result, the other may. We therefore recommend combined testing when both samples can be collected. The information obtained helps assess the need for further investigations and plan monitoring in a future pregnancy.
